On the release, Alexander Saint mentions, “This is a song I wrote about an ex, but I wanted to tell it through the lens of a B-horror movie. You’re stranded out at sea, lost to old throes of a lingering passion that keeps you tethered to a sinking boat, like the curse of a siren. The song is intentionally equal parts creepy and chaotic, the realization that the person I cared about doesn’t feel the same anymore, and isn’t coming back to save me.”
