Green Dolphin – Notebook Comicstrip (Review)

Previous MoggBlog artist, Green Dolphin return with “Notebook Comicstrip”. Released October 4th, the track concludes the band’s busiest year to date. Having released 3 singles and a debut EP, the band are hiding away working on new material, ready to debut on a short tour in January. Based in Essex, the lo-fi indie draw influence from what sounds like Bombay Bicycle Club, FOUNTAINS D.C and Courtney Barnett.

Filled with vulnerability and insecurity, the track looks back at previous bullies and current lives of both culprit and victim. As a naive single, it uses nostalgia to keep present but also think of the past and look forward to the future. Overall, the loveable number is another string to the band’s ever evolving bow.

Score: 3/5
