Indie rock band Pilhouse were formed by four music tech students in London. As a collective, they havenโt been together for that long, but have already released their debut EP demo back in December. Here with their official debut single, โHurt Youโ secures the band within an experimental genre. Itโs not 100% indie, but itโs not 100% progressive either. Thereโs a real human form within this track and the raw essence of it has really drawn me into the band.
Thereโs something sinister behind this indie track. It may sound simple in the verses, but thereโs a complexity in the choruses that makes it sparkle that little bit more. Itโs no wonder this track is getting a lot of attention. Filled with enthusiasm, the outfit are soon to summit their way to the top. Iโm loving the โfar off polishedโ formation of the track as well. It doesnโt sound unfinished, but it doesnโt sound completely polished. Itโs unique and a lot different to other โindieโ bands right now. Distinctive and a fascinating debut from the band.
