Project Blackbird – If This Is The End

UK based band Project Blackbird unveil their exceptional sophomore album, ‘If This Is The End‘. The follow-up to their highly successful 2018 debut album ‘Endurance’, “If This Is The End” continues Project Blackbird in the right direction. A smooth release combining 13 fantastic tracks together, this outfit blend rich indie-rock elements with post-punk and dream-pop sensibilities to create their signature sound.

Speaking about the new release, they said, “We started writing the songs that would become If This Is the End in late 2019 and recorded, remotely and/or through social distancing, during the lockdowns of 2020.  The COVID-19 pandemic aside, as a band and individuals we’ve been negotiating much uncertainty, change, and loss over the past year, which is evident in the themes and shifting moods of the album.  It is at turns bittersweet, unsettling, reflective, hopeful, and hopefully uplifting.  We were honoured to have a number of guests join us from afar, whose contributions have enhanced a sound that remains unmistakably Project Blackbird.”
