Released October 3rd, The Pulse’s debut single ‘Poltergeist‘ is sent from indie heaven. Drawing influence from the likes of synth legends Depeche Mode and The Human League, the outfit are also influenced by the likes of Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, M83, Bruce Springsteen and Matty Healy. Diverse and showcasing that you don’t have to limit your sound to one avenue, ‘Poltergeist’ unites 80s pop with 00s indie.
On the release, The Pulse state, “The concept stems from a conversation between Brandon and a music lecturer at the local college who told him; “you’re not trying to find a melody when you’re writing a song, you’re trying to find a vein that’ll take you somewhere, you’re trying to find the pulse”.
“Poltergeist” is, like it’s name, free spirited and confident.
