Carmanah – As I See You (Review)

Released March 13th, Carmanah’sAs I See You’ is taken off their upcoming sophomore album ‘Iris’, which will be released June 12th. Inspired by the distance between two souls when we forget to love ourselves first, the emotive number is the perfect track for re-connection. In a time where the world is feeling alone and scared, this calming tune is the soundtrack that everyone needs to witness. Calm and thoughtful, it’s a track that you can slow dance too, obviously after the world is back to a healthy state.

On the track, the band mentioned ‘This song is a reminder that by embracing those who love us within ourselves, we can find a sense of home and belonging in our own skin. By caring for the environment around us, we also care for ourselves.

It’s like The Carpenters wrote a personal song with Lucy Rose. Absolutely exquisite vocals complimented by a soft folk meets americana arrangement. One of the best tracks of March and will be up in their in my ‘best of 2020’ lists for sure.

Score: 5/5
