London-based artist Grace Gillespie’s sound draws influence from folk, psych and dream-pop. Providing a backdrop with shifting harmonies, intricate vocal melodies and stunning lyricism, she returns with “Goodbye”, but this is only the beginning for this artist. Marking the start of her collaboration with engineer and producer Oliver Baldwin, the track exposes Grace’s vocals and illuminates them in a raw, vulnerable nature.
On the single, Grace stated; “Goodbye” is a song about relinquishing music and giving up the dream, written at a time of much uncertainty and worry about what would become of my songs. Its lyrics mark the realization that it will never really be all over. The music wants to be alive and free.
Soft and representing an true folk artist in her element, Grace’s new single is the beginning of something very special.
