Katrina Cain – Promised Land (Review)

LA-based pop artist Katrina Cain ended 2019 with an honest offering in “Promised Land”. Self-described as “melancholy pop”, the songwriter is most known for her standout performance on Season 15 of The Voice. After blossoming her career further down the line with a grit-filled performance of Fleetwood Mac’s Rhiannon, the songstress has released a string of her dream-esque tracks. Her latest single deals with failure and freedom through loss, and just may be her most focused material yet. Ending 2019 in the right way, 2020 is set to be a year that will rocket Katrina Cain to fame.

With elements of electronica, the melancholic pop number features a glistening production that feels close and personal. Securing the nature of the track’s subject, Katrina’s vocals are intimate and flourish with flavour. A hit in my eyes and an anthem that will glisten in Katrina’s discography for years to come.
