Peyton List – Don’t Cry (Review)

Actress and artist Peyton List stormed onto the music scene back in 2018 with debut single “Liar Liar”. Now returning with the stunning visuals for her latest single “Don’t Cry” featuring viral Spotify artist Cannon, the young star is standing her ground in the music industry. You may know Peyton more for her acting on Disney Channel and in movies such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid but now with her own musical repertoire, there’s no stopping the young artist. Gaining recognition from her trustworthy fans over the globe, “Don’t Cry” fits perfectly in today’s modern society and could be described as an electro-pop anthem.

Standing by her acting ability, Peyton List’s music video for Don’t Cry was also directed, produced and conceptualised by her. Doing what she clearly does best, Peyton took the dramatised story and added a pure essence of love to the visual. Musically, the swirling synths glisten in the smooth pop melody. Captivating the true aura of Peyton’s vocals, they flow through all the cracks to seal it like glue. Visually, the video features Peyton playing around with wigs and having the time of her life on set. A true statement in Peyton’s career has been captured in this track.

Score: 3.5/5
