Tiera Beverly – Can’t Talk (Review)

Los Angeles R&B soul artist Tiera Beverly transports us back to the 90s with “Can’t Talk”. Oozing with sultry vocals, dramatic drum patterns and smokey harmonies, Tiera showcases her love for 90’s girl groups. Produced by Jason Mater (Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Eminem) and Brandon Rogers (Alec Benjamin, Troye Sivan, Bea Miller) as well as mastered by Evren Goknar at Capitol Studios. Born into a family of musicians, she credits her roots for bringing her array of musical influences into her life. Channeling her inner Aaliyah, “Can’t Talk” is a mesmerising track that feels right at home.

Narrating the journey of youth, the track’s about realising that to reach your goals, you need to put yourself first. Inspired by Tiera’s views on social media and how the world we live in constantly needs reassurance and instant gratification, this message shines throughout the track’s arrangement. Bewitching listeners with her smooth vocal tone, the hypnotic melody that sits behind the track fuses a heavenly atmosphere. A ground-breaking debut from this songwriter.
