Samuel Jack – Feels Like Summer (Review)

Returning with the summer hit “Feels Like Summer”, Samuel Jack is here to set the summer on fire with this feel good track. It’s been a fantastic number of years for the artist with getting recognition at festivals such as Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party. With sharing stages with Passenger and Jack Savoretti, I’m really not surprised that he’s getting the recognition, he deserves every ounce of it.

Enlightening the sky with it’s feel good vibe, the track has a powerful, uplifting force. With bursts of energy in every crack, the track centres around living for the good times and feeling ‘alive’. Loving the message that’s delivered throughout, as many pop artists usually stick within insecure subjects, which is still fine, but it makes a change. There’s a sense of nostalgia within the bones of the number and reflecting on the good times of your past is always going to make anyone happy. If this isn’t in the UK charts within the next week or so, I’ll be shocked. It’s got a sense of Rag’n’Bone Man to it, but Samuel Jack keeps it’s quirky with a big dose of his originality.

Score: 3.5/5
