THY VEILS – HERE WE ARE SIDEREAL

Creating a sense of awe and wonder within their music, there are definitely elements of personality and character within Thy Veils’ music that everyone can hop on board and enjoy. The Romanian art collective was founded in 1995 and has quickly evolved into one of the most exciting groups around at the moment. Musically, the track is centred around a captivating indie meets synth-rock soundscape that will leave you shooting for the stars with its elevation. The visuals are vivid and vibrant and portray the group’s sound perfectly. There are moments of leftfield-style music in the mix as well as dance that fits all pathways to different musical avenues.

The band’s lyrics and imagery invite listeners to explore the deeper dimensions of existence and transcend the limits of everyday life. Detailing their music, Thy Veils share: “It offers a glimpse into a world of mystery and wonder. It encourages listeners to embrace their consciousness and embark on a journey of self-discovery and introspection.” I love how contemporary their music sounds whilst nudging yesteryear acts like Cocteau Twins as well as musicians such as experimental legends like Bjƶrk and Radiohead.

SIMON LINSTEADT – GRAVITRON

A singer-songwriter who knows exactly what he wants to achieve in the music industry, Simon Linsteadt is back with his latest track “Gravitron” – a gentle atmospheric synth-pop song that is chilled out from the get-go. An artist who’s toured extensively over the years, this is a songwriter who knows the ins and outs of the industry and is experienced with all the knowledge a musician could ever need. Musically, the single dives through indie soundscapes but prominently resides in a gorgeous downtempo electronic state. I must say how stunning it is how chilled out this song made me feel and how artistic the production is. It glistens from the very first note and lets listeners in with open arms. The arrangement is relaxing and lets the audience interpret the music however they need at the time,

ā€œOn a recent trip to England, I brought with me a small portable synthesizer (the OP-1) to capture ideas. The freedom allowed me to take music-making out of the studio and into my everyday life, which changed my creative perspective. ā€˜Gravitron’ is a childhood memory of the county fair in my hometown in Northern California. A lot of varied emotions and sensory experiences are entangled in that memory of the fair,ā€ Simon explains.

OLYA POLYAKOVA – LOVE IS BLUE

A collaboration sent from heaven, “Love Is Blue” is the unexpected duet of the European dance band Army of Lovers and Ukraine burlesque diva Olya Polyakova. A track that is about seeing love in all corners of the world, there’s so much euphoria in this song that when you listen to it, you’ll be singing it from the rooftops at the top of your lungs. Musically, the track dives through realms of contemporary dance with its head looking straight for the stars. It sounds like something you’d hear that could easily win gold in the Eurovision Song Contest. I love the euro-pop essence to this track, it really has a lot of theatre in its arrangement but still comes across as serious. Also having multiple languages in the song brings it a whole different flavour that could be loved by people across the globe. Colourful and vivid in all the right places but with a clever undertone that leaves the audience thinking they’re not too cheesy, “Love Is Blue” is a stunning release with a lot of potential.

‘Love is Blue’ is a hit song that has already hit the radio charts in many European countries. Army of Lovers’ new single is a power-pop anthem that organically combines epic scope and witty self-irony.”

The perfect song to comfort you after a breakup during the holidays, Elital Rychter’s latest release will pull at your heartstrings. Weaving through the stages of grief, denial, and even anger, this song feels like a story that’s leaping from the page and into your ears. An emotional journey that we’ve sadly all been through, heartbreak may be a hard thing to go through, but it’s an easy topic to talk about due to the pain. Elital’s vocals glide through the track with ease and make it an easy listen.
