UK based singer-songwriter and fashion model Heidi Rolph-Stott dropped by to chat about captivating new single ‘Unlovable’, musical influences and hidden talents!

Introduce yourself and your hidden talent!

Hiya! My name is Heidi Rolph-Stott and I’m a UK based singer/songwriter and fashion model, represented by Boss Model Management and under artist development with MAS Records. After writing my own music for about a year, I took the plunge and decided to release my debut single, Better off Now, in March 2021 and begin my journey as a music artist. This debut track was played on the live lounge special episode of BBC Music Introducing, as well as on radio stations all across the globe, from London, Manchester and Birmingham, to Australia, Indiana, Scotland and New Zealand. And now I just can’t stop writing!My hidden talent is that I’m also actress, and am a member of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

Who are your main musical influences and why?

My main musical influences definitely come from artists such as Taylor Swift and Lana Del Ray, because of their poetic lyrics and eclectic style. Taylor would absolutely be my dream support gig hehe! I also am a big fan of London Grammar, Maisie Peters, and Olivia Rodrigo. I really love artists who make every word matter and almost paint a picture with each and every line. This is something that I also aim to do with my own narrative driven style of songwriting.

What’s in store for you for the rest of the year?

I’ve got loads more music coming soon which I’m really excited about, with the hopes of reaching a wider audience! I’m also playing my first ever festival this summer, Your City Festival, which I can’t wait to do. I’m just so excited to continue releasing new music that I’m really proud and seeing where it takes me!

Tell MoggBlog viewers about your latest release! What’s the inspiration behind that?

I’m thrilled to announce the release of my second single, Unlovable, which is out on all major music  streaming platforms on Friday 28th May 2021. This track is a deeply personal one for me. It focuses upon the question of whether you can be truly happy on your own, especially when being faced with constant reminders that can make it seem as if we have to find someone in order to make ourselves feel lovable.Definitely go check it out! 🙂
