LORI – Release Me

After the success of debut single ‘Harlequin’, ‘Release Me‘ is the excellent second single from LORI. Having received national radio support from Radio X, Amazing Radio and numerous sites across the globe, this talented songwriter may be at the beginning of her solo career, but she’s certainly turning heads.

Describing the meaning behind the song LORI says, “Release me is a song about finding that person that makes you feel like that bit in the movies where everything stops, and you’re like damn! Things go well, then they slowly stop answering your texts, but are happy to call you up when they need anything. For whatever reason you allow this behaviour and all you want is to let yourself let them go.”

Paying ode to artists such as Foxes, Lady Gaga, Phoebe Bridgers and Billie Eilish, ‘Release Me’ feels like a noughties infused pop singer fuelled with personality. Bathed in ear-worm melodies and distinctive vocals, ‘Release Me’ explains 21st century dating down to a tee. Recorded and produced by Dan Lucas at Anchorbaby Recording Company and mastered by Joe Fisher at Rainy Daze Recording Studios, ‘Release Me’ certainly features an exceptional team behind it.

I’m actually supporting LORI at her Birmingham date on her UK tour, you can buy tickets for that here.

You can follow LORI on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
