Ormiston – Step from the Limelight

Following in the footsteps of Ormiston’s debut single ‘Rebel’, ‘Step from the Limelight’ is an infectious indie-pop release that presents more of his heart-on-sleeve songwriting. Telling the story of someone scared of being trapped in monotony, ‘Step from the Limelight’ criticises the desire to be part of an empty culture. Adding his thoughts on the release, Ormiston states,”the phrase “I could never step from the limelight” reminds us that we are continually pushed to play a role in an act that is not our own, forcing us to forget who we really are and to put on the mask that will please what others think of us.”

The second single from Ormiston is another danceable anthem to add to his sensational discography. Sounding like the lovechild of Tame Impala and MGMT, this indie-pop number captures shallow desires in the palm of its hand while standing out from the crowd. An explosive indie sound that pushes Ormiston further into the limelight, this track deserves to make him an overnight success.
