Ormiston returns with dance-infused visuals for hit, ‘Rebel‘. Musically, the track is fitted around a retro arrangement that’s destined to leave you jiving away in your room, and visually – it’s the same sort of statement. Receiving rave reviews from the likes of The Rodeo, Our Culture, CLOUT and When the Horn Blows, Ormiston is a positive artist that the world truly needs right about now.
Speaking about the production studio vibes of the music video, director Ariel Poupart says, “Along with Ormiston, we decided to go with a Top of the Pops setting for his musical performance. I loved the texture of the song Rebel that felt very analogic to me. I wanted to recreate that same texture though the images and got very inspired by everything that could alter the image. When we settled on using old cathodic televisions as a means to distort and modify the visuals, I got very enthusiastic and so we got 13 of them!“
The visuals reside in a live setting where Ormiston and his band perform the track in a bright blue studio. Like something straight out of the 90s, the authentic music video for Ormiston’s debut indicates a strong future lies ahead.
