Interview with Steady Rollin

I caught up with blues rock outfit Steady Rollin to chat about their 2017 album ‘Love & Loss’ and what’s in store for the rest of 2021.

Hey Steady Rollin! How are things in your neck of the woods?

We are doing really well writing a lot of music, very excited for the launch of stories, our second album and a video of a live concert in Costa Rica. We are already starting to write our third album, there is a lot of creativity taking place at this time, the downside is that we are not playing live, but hopefully we will start again in a couple of months.

You’ve got quite the story! Can you tell MoggBlog viewers your favourite achievement to date? If you can’t pick your favourite, your top 3 is also great.

Our greatest achievement has probably been able to promote local bands by starting the Inter SkyLounge music festival, where we bring local artists from all over the country and help them exhibit their music thru a large scale concert to different audiences. Via this festival we also promote that local artists write their own music. Another achievement has been the growth of our fan base, as we perceive it thru our live shows and followers in Spotify and other media channels. We get very excited when we receive messages from our fans and seeing people sing our songs during live performances.

Your exceptional album ‘Love & Loss’ is a real contender in the blues world, what’s the story behind that?

It’s an album we recorded in the studio but mainly did the whole thing live, the songs are true stories disguised as music and very personal in nature. The common thread is this idea of love and loss. Even though it is a rock and blues album there are songs of different genres including ballads, rock, blues and alternative.

If you could describe your sound in 3 words that begin with F, what would they be?

Feeling, fresh, flow.

What’s in store for the rest of 2021?

Lots of live shows, travelling, launching the second album and we are going to finish writing and recording the third album.
