Released August 28th, John Dhali’s ‘In Time’ is fuelled with positivity. Indie rock, soul-folk and described as somewhere between Nick Mulvey, George Ezra and Elbow, ‘In Time’ explores themes of self-exploration and spirituality. John explains, βThe song is really about not waiting around, which is funny cos I wrote it four years ago in India. I guess it was like a prophecy. Itβs taken me this long to work out how to be me. Itβs kinda like a declaration to myself that Iβm not gonna dress up in any bullshit. Weβre all here in time, and we donβt have long so I canβt waste mine being buried under some crumbling facade when whatβs underneath is beautiful. I genuinely believe that the Self in everyone is divine, so I refuse to disguise or crush mine like I have in the past. Take it or leave it, hereβs mine now show me yours kinda thing.”
‘In Time’ is an absolute banger. Indie rock at it’s finest, the track is coated in a fierce fuzz bass line, soaring string sections and passionate vocals. Accompanied by a bold video, the track is vibrant and motivational.
