Dutch singer-songwriter Daimy Lotus unleashes her new single ‘OK that it’s not OK‘ into the universe. Written at a writing camp in France with Tom Martin and Marlon Roudette, the mainstream pop anthem is about finding contentment. Daimy commented, “Writing this song made me realize that I am the only person who can give myself the closure I needed all this time. As Bob Marley said: ‘Only we can free ourselves from our thoughts.’ That sounds easier than it is. I know that because it took me 24 years to find my closure and I still struggle with it at times, but it is possible. I hope that people who are in a similar situation can also find peace and acceptance in their own way, and I hope this song can help with that.”
A track that features a beautiful resonance, the track could feel relatable for mental health sufferers out there too. ‘OK that it’s not OK’ was released alongside a music video directed by Phoebe de Beer, better known as R&B artist Maya Mae.
