LA based instrumental duo Movie Club play iconic record store Amoeba just days before the sign was taken down. Alongside seven other local independent venues that are threatened by these uncertain times, Movie Club are honouring the LA music scene. Showcasing the power that music can bring, the outfit set up their gear in front of 8 venues, and made an exceptional music video that will go down in history.
“These venues are museums of vibe,” Movie Club says. “For musicians, aspiring to play these stages is one of our main inspirations. We have to preserve this kind of history, and do what we can to help the venues stick around and keep showcasing great music.”
Working with cinematographer Dustin Downing, ‘Driftwood’ is a necessity to the music industry, and showcases we will never go down without a fight.
