LoseHer release debut, self-produced album, composed between Grenoble, Chambéry, Paris and Brest in France. Experimenting through different styles, the debut from LoseHer combines shoegaze, post-rock and hip-hop grooves too. Comprising of duo Cléo and Julien, the two-piece are joined by Jonathan who helped with production at his studio in Grenoble. Described as music somewhere between Slowdive, Camille and Nothing but Thieves, the album showcases a bright future for the French duo. Featuring english and french lyrics, the versatile release is an experimental wonder.
Featuring 10 tracks that will find a place in your heart, ‘Walk As Blind’ features stunning vocals and psychedelic fragrances bathed in a hip-hop, electronica soundscape. Featuring Lou Houel (Backdawn) on drums, the overall soundscape is a breath of fresh air.
Stand out moments on the release are ‘Resilience’ – a colourful arrangement that grooves with guidance, ‘Take Care’ – a darker soundscape that still features a dream-pop arrangement. Tracks such as title track ‘Walk As Blind (Safe Places)‘ specialises in a lo-fi production whereas track ‘Small Details’ is in your face and is impossible to ignore. A fierce debut from the French duo.
