Alma Grace – You Are Here (Review)

Alma Grace – You Are Here

Alma Grace’s second single “You Are Here” is a single that will keep you in the moment and staying present. During the current turbulence that the world is going through, the new release from the up and coming artist is the breath of fresh air we all needed, without actually going outside.

Constantly feeling the need to make her family and culture proud while being raised by an immigrant mother in New York City, Alma had his to say; “I was working in the U.S. Senate at the age of 17, got into a top college, and realized that I was always anxious and rarely happy. I decided to take time off from school to focus on my music, and wrote ‘You Are Here’ a couple of months in. It’s about letting your hair down, giving yourself time to breathe, and living in the moment.”

Tackling tough social and political themes in her music, the honest and upbeat track is further proof of Alma Grace’s ability. A true, singer-songwriter calling out on the culture’s lack of mental health awareness ‘You Are Here’ is another statement that Alma is one to keep an eye on.

Score: 3.5/5
