The Lizards – Plastic Dream (Review)

Psych-garage rock quartet The Lizards were formed back in 2015 and draw the 60’s psychedelic movement as a main influence for their sound. Returning with their last single of 2019, “Plastic Dream” soars into a realm of colour. Drawing similarities to the likes of Tame Impala and even the experimental bunch King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, The Lizards are creating something that’s different and with a dream-pop nature, what more could you want?

Well produced and delivered with pure passion, the psychedelia melts through headphones/speakers with great force. Transporting us back to the sixties with vengeance, this is the first track I’ve heard from The Lizards and it surely won’t be the last. Exquisite showmanship and a pounding rhythm section that lingers for time to come. If you’re into an experimental sound with a hint of a dream-essence, these guys are right up your avenue.
