ÄTNA – Come To Me (Review)

Rising to promise with every release, ÄTNA have already played high profile festivals throughout Germany, and have toured Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Estonia. In addition to their ever-growing take over of the globe, they’ve played in Istanbul and London, plus their slot at Montreux Jazz Festival this year. Described as ‘Fever Ray meeting Grimes in London’s Royal Opera house‘, ÄTNA focus their shows around the piano, with analogue effects mixed with a wide production. Returning with the vibrant “Come To Me”, the German Duo showcase an avant-garde nature while holding onto a pop-industrial sound.

Come To Me’ depicts a confident woman’s attempts to persuade her partner to at last make an effort before disappearing once and for all. Featuring an astonishing vocal performance, the pulsating rhythm accelerates a sudden surge towards it’s electrifying finale. It’s artistic and simply described as hip, work of art in today’s music industry and a force to be reckoned with in ÄTNA’s discography so far.
