Bristol based alternative rockers Nuns of the Tundra have had their best year yet. Back with the distinctive ‘Sign In Blood’, the new single dropped November 29th and is the follow up to the critically acclaimed “Baby’s Got a Box of Matches’. Championed by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1, Baby’s Got a Box of Matches signified a big career step in the band’s ever-growing career. Returning with the fierce new single, we hear the Nuns unveil a dark, dystopian version of Alex Turner meets Queens of the Stone Age. Along with a fresh new line up, Nuns of the Tundra are set to have a huge 2020.
Fronted for the first time by guitarist Arran Davies on vocals, the Nuns put aside their in-your-faze fuzz approach for a more layered garage rock sound. Dark and mysterious, the track feels like it’s come from the realms of another universe and has travelled here by the most badass rocket ship you could ever picture. Destined for the big time, if these guys aren’t headlining Reading & Leeds in 3 years time, we riot.
