Tall Heights – Keeps Me Light (Review)

Starting as buskers on the streets of Boston, Tall Heights’ career has progressed like no other. Now performing in packed venues across North American, Europe and beyond, the duo have found their organic sound and their true selves. Blending harmony and unison with their voices, the elevating nature that they portray in their sound separates them from other artists. Hailing from Boston, Paul Wright and Tim Harrington make Tall Heights. Mixed by Grammy-nominated engineer Damien Lewis, ‘Keeps Me Light’ delivers an authentic, meaningful energy.

The track showcases a rich string arrangement, additional a cappella vocals from Upper Structure, and features Harrington’s parlor-sized resonator guitar, which gives it a bluesy, almost Southern grit.

Exploring the sense of safety felt in friendship, the track details the safe place in the heart of a friend. Having love around you in a dark time will help you get out of whatever you’re going through and the way the two-piece describe this is empowering. An uplifting sound of hope within the darkness, it’s the kind of track that you’d stick on your playlist and embrace the moment with your loved ones. Keeping present and living all for the moment, ‘Keeps Me Light’ will simply brighten your day.
