Released October 30th featuring Valencia James, ‘Fantastic’ is a moody-dark acoustic driven track from LX Mason. Sydney based artist LX Mason, the eerie new number secures a haunting vocal delivery from both artists. What may seem a darker sound for both artists, the soft track showcases a whole new level of personal. Securing a strong importance for LX Mason, the track deals with mental health and helps not only LX but listeners round the globe. Relatable and memorable with it’s soft melody, it’s a big step in both artists career.

Sometimes the most frightening monsters we confront are the ones we’ve created. I wrote it based off of pretentious conversations that I would have with people as they bragged about the apparent success of their current ventures while simultaneously pushing everyone else down. I noticed that after I would hear these things from other people I started to recite them in my own mind – wishing that there was an ounce of truth in it. It took me to a dark place of comparing myself to other people, trying to rack up my “body count” of people they’ve hurt to get where they are, and ultimately had to come to terms with the monster I was creating. This song is that confrontation. And now, on the other end of it, I’ve never felt truer to myself – caring about the things that actually matter.  – LX Mason

Using a minimal approach to the instrumentation, what lacks in the arrangement makes up for in the emotive lyrics and vocal performances. Valencia’s comforted vocals that sit behind the mix are what we hope would be the ‘real’ voice in our head at times. Comforting and making listeners know that everything will be ok again if they’re suffering, the fantastic number is one of LX Mason’s best yet.
