Emerging Chicago pop songwriter OSTON is the moniker of Austin Wolfe. OSTON has spent the last three years under the wing of heavyweight songwriter/producer Dino Zisis, of Lady Gaga fame. Armed with a force to be reckoned with “nobody cares” revolves around the frustrations of social media. Her debut EP ‘Sitting at the Kids Table’ debuted this year in August and has already charted throughout Europe. Quickly grabbing attention of radio executives Phil Guerini (Radio Disney) and Jeff McKlusky (JMA).
“I found myself constantly annoyed with fawning over the lives of other people on social media,” OSTON explains. “When I started putting my music out there, I became more aware about how much we craft these narratives for people to ‘like’ and I became even more disgusted with it. I decided to write a song about these frustrations, and this is what came out.” Lingering in a basic pop structure, it’s OSTON’s vocals that feature a warm aura. Responding to it’s narrative, the clear atmosphere is raw and slightly insecure. A polished production rounds off the experience with a strong confidence.
