Raynes – Lemon Drop (Review)

Filling the soundscape with huge charisma, Raynes are here with their debut single ‘Lemon Drop’. Produced by Mighty Mike (Lana Del Rey, The Neighbourhood, Dua Lipa) and mastered by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Vampire Weekend, Shawn Mendes), the single showcases a vast amount of influences. Raynes blend a fascinating portion of modern pop with classic Americana instrumentation. Stating that there’s a catalog of songs to unveil one by one, Raynes are set to become the next big thing.

‘Lemon Drop’ describes the tension of chasing fame in Los Angeles. Featuring the sweet and sour aura of chasing fame, the trio confine in a stadium ready sound. With pop being at it’s core, the folk instrumentation within the number is shiny and includes an exotic tone to it’s roots. A whole array of exotic instruments, the vocal harmonies fuse the alt-folk track into it’s own realm. A fantastic debut single that can brighten any day.
