Pilgrims’ Dream – Ocean (Review)

Avid singer-songwriter Pilgrims’ Dream delivers an intricate anthem in “Ocean”. Bringing you up to speed, the songwriter and producer took two years out of music due to being left unable to sing from a chronic illness. Back and raring to go with enthusiasm, “Ocean” raises the bar of a personal journey for not only listeners but for Rob Ouseley of Pilgrims’ Dream too. Intense with it’s motivational spirit, the single is a rollercoaster of overcoming certain emotions.

Pilgrims’ Dream stated that: “Ocean is both a literal and metaphorical track about being overwhelmed by various burdens in life”. Featuring vocal harmonies that sooth any emotion, the vocals also hit close to hoe with the experiences that Rob went through to writing the track. With lyrics describing isolation and abandonment, the track guides towards a tale of hope and describes that no matter what you’re going through, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
