Insolace – Calm (Review)

Alternative rock quintet from London Insolace released their debut single “Calm” September 6th. Energised and ready for a successful career that lies ahead, the energetic collective recorded the debut single at Middle Farm Studios in Devon. Taking a slight raw approach to the recording, the personal number was tracked live.

Essentially about mental health, the band tackle the negative stigma to raise awareness about it’s effect on modern society. Aiming to offer hope and a positive guidance for fans, the importance on raising awareness is extremely high for the band. Filled with anger towards someone who broke your heart, the anger energises the band while lead singer Millie’s vocals comfort the darkness that everything will simply be ok again. A strong debut that features some of the most contagious melodies you’ll hear this week.

Score: 3/5
