Cesar Saez – If You (Review)

Mexican psych baroque pop Cesar Saez will fuel your aura with the infectious James Bond-esque “If You”. Avant-garde and featuring an arrangement filled of passionate vocals, lush string sections and gritty psychedelic guitars, the single details lost love and heartbreak. Co produced with Luis Los and Luis Aguilar (Vaya Futuro) and Grammy nominated Spanish producer/engineer Juan De Dios, ‘If You’ was released not long before Cesar’s latest release “Desilusion”, both tracks are part of an upcoming full length album.

Mesmerising the performance with a visual melody that lingers from it’s intricate source, the heartache of the track may be upsetting, but hope doesn’t seem too far away. Cesar’s unique blend of romanticised music and indie has the power to simply put his name on any map. Diverse with a range of musical influences, the aches and pains of the lyrics feel somewhat comforted by the musicianship. Petition to be the next James Bond theme tune!
