Dysplay – Dream (Review)

80s influenced pop duo Dysplay return with their first single of the year “Dream”. Comprising of Eric Scullin and Devin Hoffman, they both have seen the ins and outs of the music industry for numerous year. Devin is a composer for film and TV, plus a former touring bassist. Eric, who’s the lead vocalist, has co-produced with RZA (Kanye West, Wu Tang Clan) and Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons), but together, the duo have full on chemistry. Known for infectious melodies and heavily influences 80’s arrangement, they sprinkle modern day alt-pop into their music’s core.

Filled with contagious hooks and sing-along choruses, the uplifting single contains much energy then caffeine, Equivalent to the amazing feeling of listening to your favourite tunes in the summer sun, “Dream” sets a warming aura with every listen. Ultimately a summer single, this would could fire you up with motivation even in the winter. Hearing inspiration from artists such as George Michael and Prince, the modern take on the 80’s sound is coming to life stronger and stronger in today’s age. Dysplay are set to bring back the coolness of that era with their infectious music.
