ARI JOSHUA – COUNTRY STROLL
Highlighting a love of twang alongside jazz, this Americana wonder is a stunning release that soothes the soul. Sounding like something you’d hear in an animated Pixar movie, someone give this artist a sync deal already! “Country Stroll” is an innovative instrumental piece of music that feels fluid across multiple genres. Brushing across elements of Americana, Americana, Folk and Jazz all combined to create the perfect tone, Country Stroll feels like the perfect title for this song as you can picture walking around the countryside with this in your earphones, taking the atmosphere and scenery in.
Ari shares: “This song is a celebration of the beauty of the natural world and the simple joys of life. I’m honored to have collaborated with John Medeski and Billy Martin on this project. Their musicianship and creativity are truly inspiring.”
Technically, the instrumentation of this track is outstanding. Something you’d hear at a peak time at a commercial jazz show, the track is a journey through sound, skill and homage to musical greats whilst making the music completely Ari’s, and the team behind him, own.

STARLIGHT ALICE – I SWEAR TO GOD (YOU’RE NEVER GETTING OUT)
Somewhere between the barriers of Mumford and Sons if they went country, this is an epic, euphoric soundscape that gets rid of the Sunday scaries straight away. Starlight Alice have created a captivating soundscape that could easily fill a stadium with great ease. While writing this review, I was swaying from the very first note all the way to the end. It sounds like it would even go down well in an Irish folk bar because of its upbeat, chant-like chorus.
“When two amazing artists with combined Spotify plays of over 30 million join forces it’s time to listen.” Jacob Browne and Luke Potter are the band and, having worked together on writing songs for others and their solo projects, they decided it was time to come together and create their new sound.
Armed with a fantastic energy and melody, the gorgeous vocals make this track feel like it could fit perfectly at the top of today’s charts. Telling the story about someone struggling with their inner demons, it’s a track that, sadly, feels relatable. Bathed with a hopeful and confident arrangement, it feels like a track you’d stick on to give you the boost to carry on through the day.
