Singer, poet and visual artist To.Do.List releases double single ‘Teetering‘. Arranged by JB Pilon (The Kecks, Hunted by Elephants), the beautiful B side ‘Surprise Me’ remix for Teetering is destined to get this artist in the public’s eye. The second release from this multi talented artist, Carmina, aka the mind behind the project is a force to be reckoned with.
Blending a whole array of influences to create a unique sound, to.do.list refuses to follow a crowd. Described somewhere between London Grammar and Florence & the Machine, which is never a bad thing, to.do.list is creating something different in ‘Teetering’ – making her an artist to keep an eye on.
Chatting about the release, Carmina mentions, “‘Teetering’ was written in July 2020 in between lockdowns, with the lyrics coming first. It’s about the uncertain edge on the precipice of falling for someone. Anecdotal whispers from dates and infatuation, with the heroine seemingly unaware that she was falling. A new kind of love, more homely and reassuring, unfamiliar yet recognisable. It was my way of saying I didn’t think I’d fall for you but here we are. In a way, it is an ode to a man”.
“Teetering” is completely mesmerising and comes across as the best release from to.do.list to date. Recorded with Tatye Nickols at MADFOX in Manchester, the track was mixed and mastered by Magic Garden Studio in Wolverhampton by Gavin Monaghan.
