Sandcastle Jesus – Bombshells

Essex based band Sandcastle Jesus returned on September 4th with highly anticipated new release ‘Bombshells‘. Despite their tender age, the band have already built quite a reputation on their local circuit, and have gained support from BBC Introducing Suffolk, Phoenix FM & Porch FM to name a few. Citing The Lemon Twigs, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, The Orielles and The Smiths as a few key inspirations, ‘Bombshells’ was recorded at Olympic Hall Studios with producer James Grant.

On ‘Bombshells’, the quartet said, “It’s well documented that young people’s views don’t always get represented in the media and we wanted to highlight this in our own way. The deeper meaning of the song is open to interpretation, but it’s our statement on the way things are being handled in the public sphere at the moment…”

A bombshell that will certainly turn your day into a smile if it’s not already, ‘Bombshells’ transports listeners back to the 90s with it’s nostalgic presence. Forever youthful and refreshing, Sandcastle Jesus are an exciting new find.
