Podge Lane – Don’t Take It from Me

Written and recorded between August 20th and August 23rd, you could say Podge Lane’s ‘Don’t Take It from Me‘ was meant to be. Seemingly a track that wrote itself, the mellow number is coated in country and folk-rock sensibilities. Continuing on the same path as his previous EP, ‘Don’t Take It from Me’ is about growth, and learning from your mistakes to not make them again.

On the release, Podge Lane quotes, “I love a good story song, especially when I can talk about me,. I just wanted to get out this feeling that I had grown comfortable in myself as an artist and was really happy with what I was making and how I was doing it, so it felt good to manifest those worries of repeating old habits and creating a sort of goodbye old ‘friend’ song for them.”

“Don’t Take It from Me” is a mellow number that tries to dodge self-doubt and criticism. A relatable number that emerges with individuality from the rest of Podge Lane’s discography.
