Ollie Trevers – #I.K.Y.K (Review)

Essex based singer-songwriter Ollie Trevers started writing and performing music from 14 years of age and cannot remember a time when he didn’t want to be an artist. Inspired by blues and psychedelic rock, his music is for fans of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and even Pink Floyd. Released March 27th, Ollie’s latest single #IKYK is a track full of wit and a feel good aura.

The narrative surrounds of a relationship in its genesis that is still rather confused. The feelings of the narrator are clear to the antagonist and the audience, but the antagonist’s feelings remain a mystery. The song was inspired by dance house tracks such as ‘I Follow Rivers’ by Lykke Li and ‘Blind’ by Hercules & Love Affair

With flavourings of indie in his songwriting, Ollie Trevers returns with the alt-rock wonder that everyone needs to hear while in isolation.

Score: 3.5/5
