HOLT – Silo (Review)

London based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist HOLT creates an emotive audio landscapes. Presented with a cinematic appeal that will draw you in to let you imagination go wild, HOLT has just dropped an EP titled β€˜Heavy Water’. Taken off the EP, one of HOLT’s recent singles β€˜Silo’ haunts with an impressive uncertainty in it’s core. As a self taught musician, the songwriter draws inspiration from avant-garde and experimental artists such as BjΓΆrk and Enya.Β

β€˜Silo’ will leave you breathless visually. Set on a beach, the music video uses a great amount of different cuts to section the video together to create a piece of HOLT’s mind. Using the ethereal music to tell the story, there’s something trip-hop and experimental with this number that feels like it should be sitting on a playlist for downtime and chilling. HOLT’s comforting vocals flow throughout the track like a gentle paint brush on a canvas, painting it’s own spectrum of colours.Β

Score: 4/5
