Kensington Moore – Addict (Review)

If you’ve been following MoggBlog for some time, you’ll remember Kentucky songwriter, Kensington Moore. Back with her R&B infused new single “Addict”, the track was written & produced in collaboration with producer Corey Britz (Bush, The Voice, Dave Stewart, Atlas Genius) and engineer/mixer Travis Ference (Skylar Grey, Alex Da Kid, The Night Game). To be featured on Kensington’s debut EP, out later this year, “Addict” features a hypnotic, smooth-pop groove.

Holding your gaze with it’s heartfelt melody, the lyrics will roll off your tongue before you even realise you’re singing it. Written after a breakup, you can hear the insecurity in Kensington’s vocals throughout. Feeling hopeless and keeping your guard up 24/7 comes from a breakup, but hearing a songwriter tell the story is personal. In support of the new single, Kensington’s set to play a free show at Madam Siam in LA on October 5th with Anna Dellaria, presented by Blurred Culture. If that’s your neck of the woods, I highly recommend checking this special lady out.
