Soular Order – Beholder (Review)

Ambient artist Soular Order returns with his new single “Beholder”. Out September 20th via City By Night Records, the Manchester based musician features a hypnotising awakening within the new single. Originally being introduced to the guitar by his grandfather, Jon Maynard aka Soular Order spent most of his youth playing in bands before venturing off into the electronic music world. Truly experimenting with his new found love, the combination of elements that he produces throughout his music is utterly mesmerising.

An ambient piece of work about self-reflection, the track was written over the course of a few days and actually begun the process for Jon’s EP. Balancing layers of integrity, harmony and instrumentation, the composition feels cinematic and ready for a scene in Planet Earth. Out of this world, the soundscape creates a meditative element suitable to relax the mind and the soul. Simply breathtaking and a strong nudge towards artists such as Aphex Twin, Brian Eno and even David Bowie.

Score: 4/5
