Interview with Kid Riz

Emerging hip-hop artist Kid Riz stopped by to chat about deciding music was the right path for him, dream collaborations, what’s in store for the next of the year and the music scene in Montreal, Canada.

To anyone new to your music, name 3 words that best describe your sound.

Very versatile, melodic and motivational only with a couple songs, I try and put myself in other people’s life scenarios and make them feel like I know what they’re going through.

What made you decide that music is the right path for you?

Music has always been in my life. My dad was the real reason why I really fell in love with hip-hop and RnB he was an artist himself back in his day and today he’s my manager. he taught me the culture and true meaning of music then the talent just came in naturally

If you could collaborate with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?

I’d definitely would collaborate with Micheal Jackson, The Weeknd and definitely Anderson Paak 🔥

What’s the best advice you’d give to your younger self?

The best advice I’d give to my younger self would be to save and be smart with my money and to always remember to always show love to the ones that actually love ME 💗

What’s in store for you for the rest of the year?

May 5th I have my next single dropping and another and another one after that. These are going to be the preludes to my upcoming mixtape to be released late June Early July, this my very first Mixtape and I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.

What’s the music scene like where you are from?

I’m from Montreal, Canada a small musical city with lots of talent. Our main language for music here is French but it’s a very diverse city and definitely on the list for the next city to blow
