Temperature Falls – Don’t Think I’m Shallow
Norway based trip-hop outfit Temperature Falls unveil their fourth single of the year, ‘Don’t Think I’m Shallow’. Drawing influences from the likes of Björk, Portishead and Pearl Jam, their unique sound will be one of, if not the most original sound you’ll hear this month. Comprising of vocalist and songwriter Camilla, and multi-instrumentalist Ian J. Ward, their experimental sound dives through levels of relatable language. As the first single to be released before the launch of their second album, ‘Don’t Think I’m Shallow’ channels sounds of trip-hop with subtle alternative rock sensibilities. Firstly, what a song title! From first appearance, you can imagine this being a summer-loving anthem, and your expectation won’t be let down, that’s for sure. A Band Called Tom sticks to his roots, and shares soulful story of living on the south coast of the UK. A Band Called Tom is known for his infectious surf-pop meets indie rock sound, ‘Coconuts (On Cloudy Days)’ is the shining debut single from the Leeds based songwriter. Going under the new stage name, the debut anthem was mixed by James Brearley (ex drummers of The Manatees). Creating a sense of hope within his sound, the first single from Tom is bathed in infectious melodies, and memorable vocal hooks. Imagine this, you’re sat on the beach with some friends, enjoying each others company while listening to some tunes. This track pops on the speaker, and everyone gets up to dance.
‘Coconuts (On Cloudy Days)’ has the power to turn any frown upside down. An indie-bop that leaves you wanting more, the irresistible number breathes youth throughout the track, and feels like the type of track that will stay forever young. Mone – Rat
Berlin based artist Mone unleashes thought-provoking yet captivating single ‘Rat’. Signed to newly founded label The Famous Gold Watch Records, remember the name Mone, she’ll quickly become the new face of avant-garde. Swimming through themes of lost-loves, sex, moralityy and personal struggles, Mone’s expressive music will make you stop, and think. A compelling songwriter that fuses the insecurities of post-rock with the firm confidence of avant-garde music, the alternative new single ‘Rat’ embraces anger while letting you be in the front row seat. ‘Rat’ refuses to be left backstage, and enters quickly to centre stage with the spotlight not moving from it. Dark-folk with a twist of the underground essence of Berlin’s sound, the new single feels like the lovechild of Fiona Apple and Tom Waits.

An art form in itself, ‘Rat’ gives an insight to what awaits in the shadows for Mone’s spine-tingling sound.
Split The Dealer – Harmony
Sam Brett aka Split The Dealer returns with his second release of the year, ‘Harmony’. Before going under the pseudonym name of Split The Dealer, Sam spent a long time writing commercial music. Feeling like he wasn’t staying as true to himself as an artist as possible, he started again under the name of Split The Dealer. Harmonies are usually described as a ‘pleasing sound’, and Split The Dealer’s new single is exactly that. With over 90,000 streams on Spotify alone, Split The Dealer’s music is showcasing that it’s personal, and connects with thousands across the globe. Sticking modern pop with the nostalgic sound of the 90s together, the honest sound that ‘Harmony’ brings to the table is filled with emotive lyrics, explosive production and angelic guitar melodies.
