Andreas Grannes – Darkness (Review)

Andreas Grannes – Darkness

Norway based Andreas Grannes returns with his fourth single to date ‘Darkness’. With influences ranging from John Frusciante, Sigur Los and Radiohead, it’s Andreas distinct voice that will grab your attention from the get go. Creating a minimalistic soundscape blended with only acoustic guitar and vocals, the melancholic number features a sorrowful tone.

About personal struggle and mental health, Andreas stated that ‘now in these Corona tines, I think the song is easy to relate to.’ Making listeners believe this is the light in a dark time, Andreas first release of the year fears listeners up for his forthcoming EP ‘Miniature Man’, due for release later this year. Simplistic but oozing with creativity, ‘Darkness’ showcases the return of a graceful songwriter.

Score: 3/5
