Two exceptional artists for you to get your ears around today. All residing in a gorgeous pop soundscape, these tunes will get you dancing around your room in no time.
CHERRY SERAPH – WATCH YOU BLUR
A transcending release that’s best served on a great set of headphones, “Watch You Blur” is an ode to the complexities of relationship and growth. There’s room to breathe in the song, making it a real pleasure to listen to. The lead vocal is up close and personal and is a real pleasure to hear. You can hear all the intricacies in the melody, and it feels like something that Maggie Rogers wouldn’t mind having in her back catalog.
“I was traveling in Southeast Asia last year when my long-term relationship came to an end whilst we were both out there together. I was processing a lot of coexisting emotions all at once and I wrote this song when I was mentally ‘counting down’ the days and minutes before I wouldn’t see them again once I flew home.” – Cherry Seraph.
A slight contrast to her previous music, Cherry’s vocals really stole the show for me. Note perfect and able to itch a part of your brain that hasn’t even been touched before, this musician and producer is clearly stating to keep a close eye on her… she could become an overnight sensation.

DANIEL HAYFORD – LIGHTS OUT
Melodically wonderful, this song is a real pleasure to listen to. Reflecting on personal struggles with depression, Daniel Hayford’s new single is all about moving forward and growing as an artist. Whilst the track captures the desire to slow down in a world that’s always 100mph, “Lights Out” encapsulates the feeling of being burnt out perfectly, yet holds an optimistic shine throughout. Portraying those days when you just want to get off the hectic ride of life and have 5 minutes of pure bliss, there’s a sense of crave in this song that leaves listeners feeling reassured that they’re not the only ones who feel this way.
Speaking about the meaning behind the track, Daniel shares: “A lot of times I just feel like closing the curtains, turning off the light, and putting my phone on silent”. We can all relate to that in some way or another, there are always going to be days when we just want to pause life and breath. Musically, the track reminisces artists such as The Weeknd, and to me, Daniel has found a perfect sound for the industry.
Daniel’s new single, “Lights Out,” with a night-drive production, is a testament to this growth, as Hayford declares in its chorus, “It’s not personal, it is all I know.”
