I sat down to chat with powerful artist Azariel Fly to discuss dream gigs, live or studio preference and what’s in store for the rest of the year.

What made you decide that music is the right path for you?
Music has always been around me growing up since everyone in my family did something with it, & for my first 2 years of high school i was dedicated to playing basketball and trying to go pro. After that dream came to a reality i fell back to my first love which was music & photography. ever since 2016 after making that decision life & God himself made it obvious that music was my path to take.
What’s your writing process like? Do you write the music or lyrics first?
I usually create the music first before writing since i produce everything i make, but i always come with an experience or feeling to give while creating the instrumental . instantly when i start to hear something words and flows start appearing & i usually will write while still completing the instrumental.
What would be your dream support gig? Bonus points for place/venue.
My dream gig would be Flog Gnaw, Complex Con, or Governor’s Ball because i went to those growing up so it would make it full circle to be there again but performing
What’s in store for you for the rest of the year?
I’m working on moving out of my current place in la to 3bedroom & while doing that i plan on releasing more content in the summer leading up to my debut album BOI VOYAGE dropping in October 2021.
