Andreas Grannes – Darkness (Review)

Andreas Grannes – Darkness

Norway based Andreas Grannes returns with his fourth single to date β€˜Darkness’. With influences ranging from John Frusciante, Sigur Los and Radiohead, it’s Andreas distinct voice that will grab your attention from the get go. Creating a minimalistic soundscape blended with only acoustic guitar and vocals, the melancholic number features a sorrowful tone.

About personal struggle and mental health, Andreas stated that β€˜now in these Corona tines, I think the song is easy to relate to.’ Making listeners believe this is the light in a dark time, Andreas first release of the year fears listeners up for his forthcoming EP β€˜Miniature Man’, due for release later this year. Simplistic but oozing with creativity, β€˜Darkness’ showcases the return of a graceful songwriter.

Score: 3/5
